Bessie S. Hudson, 84, of Somerville passed away Sunday May 15, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Hudson was retired Civil Service from the US Army. She is preceded in death by her parents Lonnie and Gertrude Suggs Stewart, her husband Floyd Cole Hudson, her brothers, Todd, William “Hoss”, D.L., Marvin “Shorty”, James Ray and Ralph Stewart, sisters, Norene “Crick”, Mildred “Monk” , Jessie “Mutt”. She is survived by two sons, Steve Hudson (Wanda), Roy Hudson (Lydia), 2 grandsons, Judson and Jared Hudson; five great grandchildren, Brooklyn Terrell, Laney Dothard, Scarlett Hudson, Matilda Hudson and Willow Hudson; two brothers, Eugene Stewart and Donald Stewart; three sisters, Effie “Coot” Misuic, Margie McHargue and Faye Perkins. Visitation will be Thursday May 19, 2016 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday May 20, 2016 at 11:00am at Sandlin’s Chapel Church in Cullman County with Reverend Andy Coffee officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Sandlin’s Chapel Cemetery. Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.
