Bessie-Pratt-1450357812At age 91, Bessie Marie Knight Pratt passed from this mortal life into the next. Her husband and sweetheart for 71 years was Richard B. Pratt. Both were born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and moved to Guntersville, Alabama in 1956.
Three children, David, Linda, and Ricky came with them and one more, Lisa Ann came along afterward. Bessie remained a devoted housewife and mother.
She along with her family has been an active member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints in Guntersville.
She is the daughter of Charles and Elsie Knight of Salt Lake City.
She is preceded by her parents and brothers Jo Knight and Blain Knight and a grandson, Richard Ware.
Surviving relatives are four children David Pratt and wife Gina of Guntersville, Linda Ware and husband Richard of Denver, Richard (Rick) Pratt
residing in Huntsville and Lisa Ann Argyle and husband Steve of Salt Lake City.
There are 13 grand- children and 27 great-grandchildren.
Services for Bessie Pratt will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints at 4961 Spring Creek Drive, Guntersville, Alabama.
There will be a short viewing in the cultural hall at the church beginning at 1:00 PM and funeral service at 2:00 PM in the Chapel.
Flowers are beautiful and much appreciated. Instead of flowers please make a contribution to the Guntersville Ward Missionary Fund.
After the funeral service a procession will be formed to go the burial site at Marshall Memorial Gardens on Hwy 205 where the gravesite will be dedicated as final resting place for her body and she will there be buried.
All arrangements are made through Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville, Alabama.
