Mrs. Bessie Lee Hawkins, age 74, of McMinnville, TN passed away on Friday, December 05, 2025 at NHC Healthcare. She was born on January 29, 1951 to parents Louis and Gladys Campbell Sartain. She was faithful member of The Gathering Place where her love for praise and worship shined through. She was a homemaker at heart and enjoyed going places with her family who were dear to her heart. She was funny and feisty and everybody enjoyed being around her.
She is survived by her father Louis Sartain, brothers Tony Sartain and Mark Sartain, and Luke Sartain, cousin Edith Hobbs, special friend Sarah Johnson and family. Lots of nieces and nephews also survive. She is preceded in death by her biological mother Gladys Campbell Sartain, Esta Lee Sartain who raised her and took her as her own, sisters Barbara Sartain and Wyneccta Sartain, and brother Junior Sartain.
Mrs. Bessie Lee was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
