Bertil L. Johnson, 94, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday. Survivors include his daughters, Marsha Cheek and Lynn Johnson; grandchildren, Eric Cheek and wife, Rowena, April Sorrell and husband, Chris, Aaron Halsey and husband, Greg, and Jonathan Johnson; and seven great-grandchildren. Bert moved to Huntsville in 1968 with his wife, Jean, now deceased, when he was transferred here with Automatic Electric. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific.
A remembrance service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
