Bertha R. Porter, 83 of Athens, passed away on Monday, August 2nd, 2021, at Athens Limestone Hospital. Ms. Porter was born on February 22nd, 1938, to James “Jim” Thomas Porter and Emma Davis Porter.
Ms. Porter is survived by her daughters Sue Davenport, Wanda Tucker (Stan), and Tina Davenport; sons Jeff Davenport (Cathy) and Don Davenport; sister Peggy Knox; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; sons Ricky, Mike, Dan, and Steve Davenport; daughter Sandra Davenport; and granddaughter Sonya Davenport.
A graveside service for Ms. Porter will be Thursday, August 5th, 2021, at 2:00pm at Limestone Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the American Heart Association.
