Bertha L. Wallace, 87 of Tuscumbia, died Thursday, July 3, 2014. Visitation will be Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. at Friendship Community Church in Sheffield with the funeral service following at 2:30. Bro. Frankie Sheats will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Canaan Cemetery.
Mrs. Wallace was a native of Cherokee and a member of Friendship Community Church. She was preceded in death by husband, Robert Wallace; daughter, Nanc y Wilson; son, Bennie Blankenship; and step-daughter, Sue Mischu.
She is survived by her sons, William junior Blankenship, James Blankenship and Gary Blankenship; daughter, Carla Plunkett (Rick); step-daughter, Sheila Johnson; sister, Rosie McKissack; 15 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
