Funeral services for Berta Mae Burney, 86, of Logan, will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Ebenezer Cemetery, Minister Manuel Strickland officiating.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Burney passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013 at her residence. She was born November 16, 1926 to parents Clinton Loyd and Lillie Mae Bates Harbison.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Grady Edward Burney; three sons, Mavon Burney, Gary Burney, and Brad Burney; one sister, Imogene Daugherty; one brother, Rafeal Harbison; four grandsons; six granddaughters; and three great grandsons.
Survivors include four sons, Larry (Viola) Burney, Ricky (Mary) Burney, Marty (Tonya) Burney, and Rowdy Burney; four daughters, Connie (Paul) Sharpton, Becky Springer, Sharon (Ralph) Hogland, and Brenda Burney; three sisters, Francis Maddox, Shirley Ann (Norman Pete) Tucker, and Glenda (Marall) Parker; a brother in law, Lester Daugherty; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday from 5:30-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
