Bernice Simmons Medlen, 87, of Huntsville passed away Thursday, September 20th.
She is survived by her son, Scott (Lori) Medlen; two grandsons, Joshua Medlen and Gary (Natasha) McLeod II; great-grandchildren; siblings, Ora Bell Gray, Marie Vickers (Ronald), and Buddy Simmons, Jr.( Janie); and nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Al Virgil Medlen; parents, Buddy and Bessie Simmons; and siblings, Eddie Simmons, Lizzie Drake, James H. Simmons, Maudie Mae O’Dell, and Paul Simmons.
She was a long time member of Huntsville Holiness Church for 75 years.
Visitation will Saturday, September 22 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Sunday, September 23rd at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Bro. David Kittrell and Bro. Patrick Price followed by burial at Maple Hill Cemetery.
