Bernice “Neicy” Masterson Pool, 82, of Wolfe Springs, Alabama passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025, at her residence. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, June 09, 2025, at Wolfe Springs Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Wolfe Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Waymon Pace and Bro. Timothy Murray officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at Masterson Cemetery.
Born on April 28, 1943, to Almer and Lela Summers Masterson. Neicy was a 1961 graduate of Hatton High School. She was also a member of Wolfe Springs Baptist Church. Neicy and her husband, Eugene owned and operated Pool’s Grocery and Hardware for over 25 years. She was also a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Town Creek for 25 years. Neicy enjoyed growing her flowers, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her two sons, Barry E. (Karen) Pool and Bradley (Megan) Pool; five grandchildren, Brooke Pool (Matt) Corsbie, Barry L. (Nealea) Pool, Jack Pool, Maggie Pool, and Madeline Pool; six great-grandchildren, Ellie Corsbie, Jason Corsbie, John Houston Pool, Mary Anna Pool, Nora Ann Corsbie, and Rush Corsbie; one sister, Bettylee Masterson Pace; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, K. Eugene Pool; parents, Almer and Lela Masterson; one sister, Berla Masterson Pace; and nephew, Waylon J. Pace.
Pallbearers will be Barry L. Pool, Jack Pool, Jimmy R. Pace, Stephen Pace, David Pace, and Tom Pace.
The family extends special thanks to Aveanna Hospice nurses and staff, and Tabatha Borden and Libby Williams for their care and support.
