Bernice Long, 91, of Moulton, Alabama passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Brookdale Senior Living in Decatur, AL. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The graveside service will be at 2:30 PM on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Midway Memorial Garden with Abby Prevost officiating.
Born on January 16, 1932, to Ulysis and Elsie Terry Smith, Bernice enjoyed being outdoors in her garden and playing bingo with her friends at Brookdale. She was a very kind and compassionate person who loved her family with all of her heart.
Survivors include her grandson, Zack Long (Sallie); great-grandchildren, Zander Long, Zaiden Long, and Roman Morgan; one sister, Zulene McKay; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, Ulysis and Elsie Terry Smith; husband, William “Billy” Long; son, Stephen Long; and sister, Peggy Steadman.
Pallbearers will be Zack Long, Zander Long, Stacy Singleton, Brady Singleton, Brent Johnson, and Rex Tuckier.
Honorary Pallbearers are Zaiden Long and Roman Morgan.
