Bernice Lavern Emerson, 92, of Decatur, died Saturday May 2, 2015. Visitation will be today from noon until 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow in Caddo Cemetery. Brother Brendan Chance is officiating.
Mrs. Emerson was preceded in death by her parents, Lynn and Addie Faulk; brothers, James, Philli and Jerry Faulk; sisters, Betsy Stewart and Ruth Collins.
She is survived by her granddaughters, Terri Tipton and Jody Dunn(Rodney); great-grandchildren, Jamie, Chris Tisdale and Nicole Tipton; great-great-grandchildren, Dominick, Layland, Arabella and Mia Tisdale; brothers, Horace Faulk (Linires), Douglas Faulk (Mary Helen); sisters, Paulett Turner (Steve) and Nellie J. Daulton (Andy).
Mrs. Lavern loved going to thrift stores and to yard sales.
Pallbearers will be the Elders from Austinville Church of Christ.
Roselawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
