Bernice Eaves, age 100, of Florence, passed away August 25, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital after an extended illness. She was a member of East Florence Church of Christ. Bernice’s priorities were church and family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a wonderful hostess. She made the best fried chicken in the world.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3:30 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Shawn Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Eaves was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Eaves; grandson, Greg Eaves; and husband, Streaty Eaves.
She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Shelton (Jerry); son, Sam Eaves (Martha); granddaughter, Michelle Parks (Mike); great-grandsons, Aiden, Easton, and Ian Parks; brother, Jim Graben; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Michael Roberson, Justin Roberson, Mike Parks, Ronald Williams, Ken Romine, and Lee Hibbett.
