On Saturday, October 5th, Bernard P. Woods, loving husband of Diana for 59 years and father of four, passed away at age 82.
Bernie was born on November 11, 1936 in New York City to Patrick & Winnifred Woods. He received his BS in Physics from the City College of New York, where he was a varsity athlete in wrestling and track and an MS in Electrical Engineering from UAH. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, rank of Captain, and employed by Bendix Corporation Guidance and Controls Division for 35 years in Huntsville.
He is survived by his wife, Diana; children, Michael (Karen), Diana (Joe), Andrea (Peter), and Krista (Mark); and 8 grandchildren, Clare, Reilly Kate, Michaela, Mary Grace, Ann Caroline, Peter Joseph, Jack, and Hannah.
A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, October 8th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m.
