Bernard “Ben” Victor Parino, known affectionately as “Benny” to family and friends, passed away on August 19, 2024, at the age of 88. He was born on May 9, 1936, in Sacramento, California, to Bernard and Agnes Parino.

Ben was a bright student and a proud graduate, earning ROTC honors in high school. His sense of duty led him to enlist in the U.S. Army, where he served for nine years, dedicating himself to his country. His military career took him around the world, from Germany to various parts of the United States, including Alabama, California, Tennessee, and Washington state.

Ben was a man of varied interests and passions. He loved big houses, the latest electronic gadgets, and had a keen eye for the stock market. Baseball was one of his great loves, and he also found joy in coaching the sports his children were involved in, always supporting them both on and off the field.

After his military service, Ben embarked on a career in aerospace and engineering, working on projects related to government contracts and The Boeing Company. His hard work allowed him to retire before the age of 55, giving him time to enjoy watching his children grow and thrive in their communities.

Above all, Ben was a man of pride and affection for his family. He projected confidence, loyalty, and deep love for those closest to him. He had a special bond with his grandchildren, generously supporting them in all their endeavors.

Ben is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Parino; his sons, Anthony Parino, Bernard Parino II, and Mario Parino; his daughter, Deborah Martin; and his sister, Paulette Parino. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Dustin Martin, Neeley Foutch, Aaron Parino, Kayla Thomas, Isla Parino, Bennett Parino, and Charlee Parino. His 4 great grand children will also miss him; Charlotte, Noah, Sailor and Hailey.  His memory will be treasured by all who knew him.

The family will receive friend to honor Ben’s life from August 25th at 2 pm to 4pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a man who was deeply committed to his family, his community, and his country.

Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
