Funeral service for Bernadine Summerford Bracken, 85, will be Sunday, July 24, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Central Park Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Kay officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Her body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bracken died on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital. She was born March 10, 1931, in Morgan County to Bernard M. Summerford and Rosa Nell Strickland Summerford . She was a member of the Central Park Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir and also a member of the “Prime-timers Choir”. She was a seamtress for Orr Drapery prior to retirement and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband: Marshel Bracken, her parents and a great grandson: Marshel Gabriel McSpadden.
