Benny Walter Galbraith – Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. Benny Walter Galbraith, age 72, are scheduled for 2 PM, Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Community of Christ Church in Jacks Creek. Interment will follow in Bailey Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home of Scotts Hill is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Galbraith passed away early Thursday in Nashville. He was born January 29, 1947 in Reagan to the late W. C. and Arlene Dickson Galbraith. He was a retired water plant operator for Tennessee Department of Corrections, a member of the National Guard, and owned and operated several businesses. He loved his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of Community of Christ Church in Jacks Creek. He enjoyed camping and relaxing at the river. In his younger years, he was the Eastern United States Motorcycle Champion. He and his wife were the founders of Scotts Hill Appreciation Days and were co-owners of Scotts Hill Travel. He was a most selfless person and was always helping and giving in any way he could. He was preceded in death by a brother, Frankie Galbraith. Survivors include his wife of almost 54 years, Mrs. Donna Perry Galbraith; two sons, Tracy Galbraith and Adam Galbraith (Holly); his daughter, Tiffany Crider (David); brother, Charles Galbraith; two sisters, Frances Melton (Bob) and Janette Tillman (Jerry); his sister-in-law, Ann Galbraith; the pride of his life, his grandson, Cooper Galbraith; and numerous friends and family.
