Funeral service for Benny Joe Compton, age 83, of Eva, will be Monday, August 14, 2017 at 2:00p.m. at Eva Baptist Church with Brother Phillip Robinson, Brother Dustin Smith and Brother Gary Driver officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Mr. Compton will be at the Church one hour prior to the service. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Compton, who was born on March 23, 1934 in Georgia to Joe Wheeler Compton and Elva Louise Robinson Compton, died on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Summerford Nursing Home. Mr. Compton was a member of the Eva Baptist Church, loved to laugh, make people laugh, was a very fun loving person and never met a stranger.

Son: Anthony Compton (Stefani)
1 Granddaughter: Kimberlyn Compton
4 Step-grandchildren: Jonathan, Zachary, Logan and Samantha
Beloved Pet: Little Dog Coco
Tony Jackson, Jonathan Casteel, Larry Bates, Dee Holloway, Charles Duke and Horace Overton will serve as pallbearers.
