Bennett (Benny) Duncan was born on October 20, 1957, to Burguess Conley and Jewel Duncan in Madison County, Alabama. Benny was a devoted worker for the City of Huntsville (Water Pollution Control) for over 20 years until his retirement in 2014.
Benny was preceded in death by both his parents, and two brothers, Jacob Duncan, and R.B. Duncan.
He joined himself in marriage to Angela Lee Duncan, with whom he committed his life to for over 28 years until his time of death. Together with his wife, he reared and nurtured our blended families with love, compassion and lovingly with the iron fist. Benny started attending the Kingdom Hall with his wife, the spring of 2013, where he learned many Bible truths and he enjoyed attending the meetings, conventions, and assemblies. Benny had a kind heart and loved his family, and he and his wife loved cruising together. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and making them
laugh by acting silly. Benny appeared to have a rough exterior, but was really a teddy bear at heart that turned to mush around those grandbabies. He had a special bond with his nieces, nephews, and cousins, and especially shared a special place in his heart with his first cousins Ronald and Donald.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Angela Duncan; two sons, Bryant Leslie, and Cory Leslie, one step-son David Jones, and one step-daughter, Kimberly (Joseph) Daniels; eight siblings, Jessie (Greta) Duncan, Huntsville, Alabama; Esaw Duncan, Huntsville, Alabama; Virguss Conley, Huntsville, Alabama; Ethel Hill, Syracuse, New York; Janice Gamble, Wallace Duncan; Judy (Thurman) Holden, all from Huntsville, Alabama; four grandchildren, Kischonn, Renee, Jayla, and David jr., one greatgrandchild, Zyon, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Berryhill Funeral Home at 3:00 PM.
