In remembrance of Ben and celebration of his life.

Ben’s zest for life and love of family and all God’s creatures leaves us with a lifetime of cherished memories. Ben is survived by his parents, Donnie and Vicky Phillips; grandmother, Margaret Young; and special aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ben was predeceased by grandparents, Bennie and Norma Phillips and Melvin Young Sr. Ben was a graduate of Coffee High School and University of North Alabama. He had been a resident of Colorado for the last five years where he enjoyed immensely an active outdoor life, including his passion for snow skiing. His family gathered to celebrate his life with a special service on the mountain he loved best.

It is their wish that you will remember Ben for his innate sense of adventure, his quest for new horizons, and his compassion for others. There has been no greater devotee of no-kill shelters and pet rescues than Ben. His family is pleased to continue this cause and appreciates donations in Ben’s memory to a local shelter of your choice or to the National Pancreas Foundation.
