Benjamin N. Ollave Jr., 60, of Owens Cross Roads, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025, at Huntsville Hospital.
Benjamin was born on September 5, 1964.
He was raised and lived in Pampanga, Philippines, for most of his life and immigrated to the United States in 2015. He was married to Bernadette Pineda and had two sons, Arnie and Benjamin Ollave III. He worked at Jaka Group of Companies in the Philippines and at H.C. Blake Company, Inc. in Alabama.
Benjamin will be remembered by his loved ones and friends for his kindness, selflessness, and, most especially, his classic and old-school jokes. He loved playing with mini 4-wheel drive vehicles together with his son, Arnie, but most of all, he loved his sons and wife dearly and was known for his humorous nature. Being empathetic and compassionate toward others is the hallmark memory of all who knew him.
The family would like to thank friends, bosses, co-workers, and relatives who have aided them tirelessly and courageously with donations, flowers, food, and prayers.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Leonila and Benjamin Ollave; his son, Benjamin Ollave III; and his siblings, Perlita N. Ollave and Zenaida Carter.
Surviving are his wife, Bernadette Ollave; son, Arnie P. Ollave and his fiancée, Cielo Bautista; siblings, Celia Maestas and her husband Jose, Lenida Bolton and her husband Chris, and Julian Ollave and his wife Rachael; brother, Antonio Ollave; brother-in-law, Joe Carter; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass Service will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday at 12 noon with Rev. Tim Pfander officiating. Visitation will follow from 1-3 p.m. A Rosary will be from 3-4 p.m. and service will begin at 4 p.m.
