He had a simple but meaningful way of caring for others. He was especially known for making elotes, often asking those around him if they wanted one. It was a small gesture, but one that reflected his generosity and the way he served the people in his life.
Above all, Benjamin was a loving father and a proud grandfather—“abuelo”—who cherished his family deeply.
Benjamin is survived by his wife, Teresa Najera; his children, Juana Clanton and her husband Jeremi Clanton, Jessica Sanchez and her husband Jose Sanchez, Yesenia Stark and her husband Andrew Stark, and Juan Galindo and his wife Heather Galindo.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Zeke Clanton, Eli Clanton, Elliot Clanton, Emilia Clanton, Esther Clanton, Jonathan Sanchez, Juliet Sanchez, Valentina Stark, Tony Stark, Alejandro Stark, Tristian Wood, Adalyn Wood, Sophia Galindo, and Alicia Galindo.
He is further survived by his father, Gilberto Almaraz, and was preceded in death by his mother, Demetria Martinez.
Benjamin will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his generosity, and the quiet, consistent way he cared for his family and those around him. His life reflected a willingness to serve others, and his legacy lives on through the family he loved and provided for.
Funeral services will be held on April 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with visitation from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Burial will be private with family.
