Funeral for Benito Perez Chavez, 45, of Moulton will be Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Derrick Parish officiating. Burial will be in Cave Springs Cemetery in Town Creek. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Chavez, who died Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at ECM Hospital, was born March 21, 1970 in Morelia, Mexico. He worked for Pilgrim’s Pride. He was preceded in death by his father, Vicente Perez; one brother, Antonio Chavez; and two sisters, Teresa Chavez and Guadalupe Chavez. Survivors include his wife, Roberta Richard Chavez; son, Austin Chavez of Moulton; two daughters, Cristina Rutherford and Steadman and Emma Chavez of Moulton; his mother, Aurora DePerez; three brothers, Ramiro Chavez and Nicolasa, Vicente Chavez and Adela and Gustavo Chavez and Diana; three sisters, Celia Chavez and Salvador, Cecilia Chavez and Luis and Rosario Chavez and Esvin; and sister-in-law, Marina Chavez. Pallbearers will be Tony Dutton, Duane Mort, Jose Chavez, Andy Dutton, Cesar Leon and Alex Gonzalez.
