THE SHOALS – Local musician Kerry Gilbert, who is presently fighting a valiant struggle against a serious illness, is the focus of a special benefit fund. The fund, administered by a number of local individuals with connections to Gilbert, has been established at Bank Independent.
Morris T. Lentz, Vice-President at Bank Independent, posted this message on facebook:
“A benefit fund has been started for Kerry Gilbert @ Bank Independent. As you know Kerry is a wonderful musician and community leader who has given so much to so many. It’s time we give back to him.
The “Kerry Gilbert Benefit” Fund has been established @ Bank Independent. Folks may donate to the fund at any Bank Independent Branch in North Alabama. 100% of the funds collected will go directly to Kerry.
