Belmer Junior Nix, age 85 of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Marion Regional Nursing Home surrounded by his family. Belmer was born in Hamilton, Alabama on Friday, July 14, 1939, to Belmer Lewis Nix and Addie Willard Holley Nix.
We cherish his memory through his wife of 69 years Johnnie Mae Carter Nix; son, Ronnie Belmer Nix (wife, Elaine); daughter, Rita Nix Roberson; grandchildren; Jody Nix (wife, Amy), Adam Nix, Terry Roberson, Rachel Roberson, Erica Sawyer (husband, Spencer); great-grandchildren; Katelyn Roberson, Morgan Nix, Grayson Goddard, Carter Roberson, Charlie Sawyer, Drake Sawyer; great-great-grandchildren; Jaxon Roberson, Norah Roberson; sister: Willow Joyce Cooper; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Belmer Lewis Nix and Addie Willard Holley Nix; sisters; Lucille Blaylock (O.C.), Betty Jo Fredrick (Tennis); brother; Lewis Francis Nix (Carol); son-in-law; David Allen Roberson; great-granddaughter; Abigail Nicole Nix.
The visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Marion County Funeral Home in Hamilton Alabama. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. George Whitten officiating and a Masonic Service by Hamilton Lodge 344. The interment will be at Barnesville Cemetery in Hamilton, Alabama.
