Belle Smith – Obituary

Belle Smith, 16 of Arab, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Belle was born January 22, 2001 in Madison County to Justin Warren Smith and Michele Marie Franklin. Belle enjoyed hanging out with her friends, kayaking, driving around listening to music, going to the beach, swimming and being a life guard. She enjoyed spending time with her nephew Travis, and watching Alabama Football.
She was in her Junior year at Arab High School. Belle loved her time cheering at Arab High School where she was a member of the Spirit Club, HOSA and former member of FCCLA where she won a State Title in Montgomery and competed in Nationals. Belle was also Ms. Arab Junior High School Sweetheart in 2015.
Belle was a member of Arab Church of Christ.
She is survived by her parents: Justin Warren Smith and Michele Franklin; her grandparents: Warren and Clovis Smith and Richard and Priscilla Wilson; her brother: Austin Smith and her sister: Whitney Thrower; her nephew: Travis Dick and many dear friends and classmates. She was preceded in death by her grandfather: David Franklin.
Celebration of Life for Belle will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Arab High School Auditorium with Brother: Ken Tyler, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Oak/Ruth Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Arab High School Auditorium prior to the service.
