COLBERT COUNTY – Every year about this time, the halls of the beautiful antebellum mansion, Belle Mont resound yet again with the Spirit of Christmas. The home, which lies in the hills just south of Tuscumbia, is a jewel in the treasure chest of Northwest Alabama. During the season folks make the journey to Belle Mont for some old-south nostalgia in the annual Christmas in the Country event.
Filled with period furnishings, Southern Ladies and Gentlemen dressed in their finest Holiday attire, and delicious foods, the mansion comes to life.
