TUSCUMBIA-Belle Mont Mansion will hold a spring clean-up day, on Saturday, April 7, beginning at 9:00 am, at the museum, 1569 Cook Lane, Tuscumbia.

“Belle Mont Beautification Day” is part of a national Park Day initiative by the Civil War Trust, designed to aid and draw attention to parks and historic sites.  Volunteers willing to do light interior cleaning or small grounds maintenance, such as clearing underbrush and picking up trash and sticks are invited to participate.

Documentation of service hours will be provided for student groups.  Teens under the age of 18 should provide written permission from their parent or guardian or have accompanying adult supervision.  Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately in long pants and sturdy shoes and to bring their own tools and gloves.

Free Park Day tee-shirts will be provided on a first come basis. Snacks and water provided.  Bring your own sack lunch if desired.

Belle Mont is a historic house museum owned by the Alabama Historical Commission and operated by the Colbert County Historical Landmarks Foundation.
