  Obituary of Belinda Janet FanningBelinda Janet Fanning, 72, of Madison, AL, passed away January 14, 2025, at Athens Health and Rehab in Limestone County, AL.

She was born July 23, 1952, in Madison County, AL to Robert and Mary Beckman McBride.

Mrs. Fanning was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Fanning is survived by her husband of 54 years William M. Fanning, one son Mark Fanning (Jamie), three brothers Rob McBride, Leo McBride, Tom McBride, two sisters Kateri Rodgers, Charlotte Garrie, two grandchildren Fiona Fanning and Hendrik Fanning, and several nieces and nephews.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Fanning loved to garden, to sew, she also loved animals and art, along with astronomy. Mrs. Fanning was a daughter to a father who served in the U.S. Army and later in life met her husband who served in the U.S. Army, so she was given the opportunity to move to many different states and Germany. She was a University of Montevallo Graduate and worked as an audiologist and speech pathologist for many years.

There will be a Graveside Service held Friday January 17, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, AL in the five points area.

There will be no public visitation.
