Beatrice Marie Hughes, age 87, of Russellville, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Burns Nursing Home in Russellville.
She was born on June 3, 1926, in Haleyville, Alabama.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 6-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. She will lie in state from 12-2pm on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Ephesus Baptist Church, where funeral services will be held 2pm. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Brother Loyd Griffus will officiate.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Hughes; two grandchildren, Joshua and Meranda Waldrop; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Hughes; parents, Milton and Dollie Kuykendall; brother, J.B. Kuykendall; sisters, Annie Bankston, Flora Lovett, Verna Kuykendall, Addie Mae Boyles and Louise Frost.
