Beatrice Ewing Northington, 78, Killen, Ala., died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home, Killen, Ala. She was born in Itawamba County, Miss., January 8, 1935 and was retired from Blue Bell. She was formerly a resident of Dennis, Miss. She was a member of Dennis United Methodist Church, UMW and Treasurer.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, Miss., with Bro. Tim Hankins and Erick Brown officiating. Burial will be in Belmont Memory Garden, Belmont, Miss. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Miss., will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are one daughter, Libby Kundert (Richard) Ft. Collins, Colo.; one son, Thomas Scott Northington (Tabitha Cole-Fiance’) Killen, Ala; grandchildren, Alison Rhodes, Ava Rhodes, Ashley, Justin, Casey and Tyler Northington, Jackson Cole and Parker Cole; one sister, Nellie Palmer, Fulton, Miss.; and one brother, Lewis Ewing, Tallapoosa, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Northington; her father, Charlie Ewing; her mother, Cleo Ewing; and four brothers, Lawrence, Buel, Wayne and Boyd Ewing.
The family wishes to thank Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home and Gentive Hospice for their care.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Deaton Funeral Home in Belmont, Miss.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dennis United Methodist Church.
