FLORENCE-The volunteer bakers from Chloe’s Fund have worked their magic again; delectable treats and surprise goodies will be available at the BE MY VALENTINE BAKE SALE on Saturday, February 14 from 10am to 1pm at the Florence-Lauderdale Animal Services Building, 3240 Roberson Rd, Florence, AL. 100% of money raised from the Bake Sale goes directly into Chloe’s Fund! Cutoff for ordering will be Feb.10th.
Once again, our volunteer bakers have challenged their culinary imaginations and come up with delicious treats…cakes, cookies, breads, cupcakes, pies and various goodies for you and your furbaby. As of February 2, check out our menu available on the Florence Lauderdale Animal Services Facebook page, as well as the Chloe’s Fund for Medical Needs of Florence Shelter Animals Facebook page. You can also text our Bake Sale Coordinator, Lisa Wilson Rim or call her at 804-240-6880 (she’s local); Lisa will send our “BE MY VALENTINE BAKE SALE” Menu to you. Our volunteer bakers have become well-known for their specialty items so it’s best to preorder their various treats; our delicacies run out quickly. The deadline to pre-order the baked goods is Tuesday, February 10 at 3pm. You can pick up your order on Saturday, February 14 from 10am-1pm at Florence Lauderdale Animal Services, 3240 Roberson Rd, Florence, or you can take your chances that our bakers were inspired and made more than ordered (they usually do).
Chloe’s Fund is a 501(c)(3) organization providing financial aid to assist emergency medical expenses for the Florence Lauderdale Animal Shelter animals and to support Shelter Diversion. It was created in March of 2017 after shelter volunteers, Glen and Debby Nelson lost Chloe, their beloved dog of 16 years. After Chloe’s passing, the Nelsons and their friends set out on a mission to help as many sick and injured Florence-Lauderdale Animal Services animals as possible. Since its inception, Chloe’s Fund vetted and saved the lives of several hundred animals suffering from various illnesses and in need of medical attention.
