Barbara Stewart Nobles passed away December 7, 2024, at the age of 76. She was a native and resident of New Albany. Barbara was a loving mother and grandmother and a beautiful soul. Barbara’s legacy is one of love, friendship, and kindness. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and those who were fortunate to know her.
She is survived by her husband Roy Nobles; her children, Jeff Smithey and wife Donna, Scottie Smithey and his wife Tracey, Chris Smithey and his wife Callie; stepchildren Roy Nobles, Jr. and Mark Nobles; grandchildren, Chad Smithey, Maggie Hall, Tyson Smithey, Carlisle Smithey, Catelyn Smithey; great grandchildren, Lydia and Olivia Smithey; siblings, Frank Gurley and Doris Simpson.
Preceded in death by parents Enoch and Lucy Stewart, Betty Gurley (sister-in-law) and Lena Dean (sister). Visitation will be held Monday, December 9th, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with funeral services to follow. The burial will be held at Ellistown Cemetery in New Albany for immediate family.
