Barbara Nell Gatlin Adams age 73 of Lester, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Adams was born October 12, 1941 in Limestone County, AL to Thomas Hazel Gatlin and O’Ceil Shelton Gatlin.
Services will be Monday, February 9, 2015, 2:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with R.M. Daniel, Mike Johnson and Greg Chandler officiating. Visitation will be Monday, from 12:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.
Mrs. Adams was a member of Craig Chapel Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and O’Ceil Gatlin; husband, Doyce Adams; three sisters, Edith Eubanks, Joan Craig and Retha Arra.
Survived by three sons, Perry Adams of Lester, Paul Adams and wife, Margie and Patrick Adams and wife, Shawn both of Athens; two daughters, Pam Adams of Lester and Penny Bates and husband, Jimmy of Athens; seven grandchildren, Nicholas Adams, Paula Adams, Claudia Bates, Cheyenne Adams, Heather Adams, Presley Adams and Atticus Adams; two step-grandchildren, Jamie Bates and Jeremy Bates; one sister, Lenna Ruth Bates of Athens; one brother, Tommy Gatlin and wife, Charlotte of Lester.
Pallbearers will be Mark Malone, Ron Gatlin, Roger Gatlin, Mike Townsend, Randy White and Mark Romine.
