Barbara Mae Turner, age 81, of Estill Springs, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born on May 19, 1943, in Fort Benning, Georgia, to the late Joseph and Florence (Snyder) Peck. Barbara was a radiant soul who embraced life with passion and joy. She was a master in the kitchen, creating meals filled with love that brought family and friends together. Her culinary talent was matched only by her green thumb.
Barbara’s lively spirit extended beyond her home and garden. She loved to dance, often inviting family and friends to join her in celebrations of life, creating unforgettable memories through laughter and movement. A natural communicator, Barbara found joy in meeting new people, particularly during her time selling fresh produce with her son-in-law, Stacey. Her warm smile and engaging conversations turned casual encounters into lasting friendships. Above all, Barbara was devoted to her family. She was the rock that everyone leaned on, providing support, love, and guidance. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering commitment will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Turner; daughter, Victoria Bowens; and siblings, Gayle Shriner and Joe Peck.
