Barbara Louise VanSandt, 78, of Laceys Spring, Alabama passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015. She was a member of the Bethleham Baptist Church for over 55 years. She was retired from the US Army Missle Command. She is survived by her husband, Virgil Braxton VanSandt, Sr.; children, Virgil Braxton VanSandt, Jr., Dr. Forrest Allen VanSandt and wife Dr. Lisa VanSandt; sisters, Billie Crick, Joyce McCutcheon, Diane Williams and Debbie Lowery; grandchildren, Steven VanSandt, Cynthia Bradford (Adam), Kelly Longberg (Ben), Allen VanSandt (Sheena), Jesse Clanton (Courtney), Daniel Clanton (Jessica); great grandchildren, Breanne VanSandt, Luke Bradford, Will Bradford, Audrey Clanton, Stevie Clanton and Alli Clanton; great great grandchild, Gabriella VanSandt. Visitation will be Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Berryhill Funeral Home. Chapel service will follow at 2:00pm with Brother Al Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
