Barbara Long Dawson, age 68, Haleyville, AL. passed away Sunday February 22, 2015. She was born in Tuscaloosa, AL. the daughter of the late Mastin and Ellen Ellis. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Haleyville and enjoyed teaching Bible Study, a retired 2nd Grade Teacher at Haleyville Elementary School having taught 25 years, a member of Delta Gamma, she enjoyed painting and was a member of Palette Pals.
Her visitation will be Tuesday February 24, 2015 at Pinkard Funeral Home-Haleyville from 11:30AM – 1:00PM, with her funeral at 1:00PM in the chapel, with Dr. Mike Adams officiating, burial to follow at Winston Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Dawson; children, Kim (Bobby) Long Robertson of Haleyville, Michele Dawson of Houston, TX., and Max Dawson of Birmingham, AL.; brother, Tommy (Sue) Ellis of Pontotoc, MS; grandchildren, Drake and Meredith Robertson both of Haleyville.
