Funeral services for Barbara Lee Neville Hovis, 86, of Decatur will be Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Rob Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Hovis passed from this life April 24, 2014. She was born December 28, 1927, to the late Charles Tyler and Susie Barber Neville in Trinity. She was preceded in dath by her husband of 66 years, Howard B. Hovis; her son, John Randall Hovis; and seven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by one daughter, Paula Sutton (Ralph) of Decatur; one son, Chuck Hovis (Beverly) of Hartselle; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hovis was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church, a devoted wife and mother, and was a wonderful homemaker and cook.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
The family gives a special thanks to Riverside Senior Living of Decatur, Decatur Home Care and Hospice of the Valley. The family also requests memorials be made to Central Baptist Building Fund or Hospice of the Valley in lieu of flowers.
