Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Kay Blackburn, age 83, will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, June 5, 2025 in the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 AM until service time.
Mrs. Blackburn, a retired employee of Kellwood and member of West Side Baptist Church, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025 in the Dyer Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy Warren Summars and Minnie Summars Swafford; two step-grandsons, Steven Noland and Keith “Bubba” Blackburn; and a brother, David Summars.
Mrs. Blackburn is survived by her husband, Lynn “Butch” Blackburn; a daughter, Nancy (Ronnie) Gilmore of Rutherford; two sons, William Lee Copley of Dyer and Brad (Teresa) Copley of Trenton; a step-daughter, Lyn Noland of Madison; two step-sons, Keith Blackburn of Munford and Brian Blackburn; a sister, Mary Louise Beuhler of Jackson; seven grandchildren, Jayda (Clayton) Craig, Derek Copley, Jeremy (Kortnie) Copley, Kara (Tanner) Qualls, Samantha Copley, Dakota Copley and Emily Copley; three step-grandchildren, Leah (Adrian) Pillow, Shelby Noland and Sawyer Noland; six great grandchildren, Adalyn Craig, Avery Craig, Eason Qualls, Harper Copley, Hannah Copley and Hallie Copley; and seven step-great grandchildren, Kaeliegh Blackburn, Emma Pickering, Ashton Blackburn, Aurora Blackburn, Alayna Blackburn, Chancellor Noland and Zoey Noland.
