Barbara Jean Harris Thorn, age 72, of Florence passed away Monday, December 17, 2012. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 19, 12:00 Noon-1:30 P.M. at Spry~Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The graveside service will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens with Bro. Sid Fulford officiating. Mrs. Thorn was a member of Woodward Avenue Baptist Church where she was past president of WMU and was formerly a church librarian. She was also a Sunday School teacher and a GA leader. Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Bobby Wayne Thorn; Daughters, Stephanie Balentine (Tim), LaDonna Newton (Keith) of Birmingham; Grandchildren, Ashley Newton, Shelby Newton, Links Balentine, Roxie Balentine and Brooks Balentine. Memorials may be made to Woodward Avenue Baptist Church.
