Barbara J. Powers Graveside services for Barbara J. Powers, age 82 of Cullman, will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday December 31, 2016 Cullman City Cemetery, with Bro. Steve Rodgers officiating.

Mrs. Powers was born on February 6, 1934 to A.R. and Verdie E. McAfee Wood; and passed away at home on Thursday, December 29, 2016. She was a member of Cullman First Baptist Church; and loved her family. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert A. Powers; son, Philip R. Powers and a brother-in-law, J.H. McMinn.
Survivors include, Daughter – Judy Powers; Son – Christopher C. (Kristy) Powers; 2 – Sisters – Bobbie C. McMinn & Virginia (Wendell) Lee; 2 – Brothers – A.R. (Gail) Wood, Jr. & Paul H. (Margaret) Wood; Granddaughter – Brittany Powers (Will) Chambliss; 2 – Grandsons – Robert Todd (Tricia) Mitchell & John Cory Mitchell; and 8 – Great-Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
