Barbara Ingle Fry, age 94 of Lynn, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at St. Vincent’s Hospital.
She was born on September 23, 1918 in Nauvoo, Alabama to William Andy Ingle and Maude Wakefield Ingle. She was a member of Lynn Baptist Church for 74 years, where she was a Sunday School teacher and choir director. She graduated from Lynn High School. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, singing and taking care of family. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 from 12-1pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Lynn Cemetery. Brother Leroy Dutton will officiate.
Mrs. Fry is survived by her sons, James “Jimmy” H. Fry, Terry C. (Judy) Fry; daughter, Barbara “Bobbie” (George) Rhodes; she was “Ma” to 5 grandchildren, Jason Fry, Josh Fry, Emily (Adam) Elliott, Melissa (Bryan) Jamison, Julie Fry; 6 great grandchildren, Knox Lynn, Truitt Crowley, Cameron Crowley, Dallas Jernigan, Jessica Fry, Lila Jane Elliott; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clinton Fry; parents, William Andy and Maude Wakefield Ingle; son, Donald William Fry; grandson, Jacob Clinton Fry; brothers, Alton, Thulo, Lecil, Pete and Bill Ingle; sisters, Tela Jones, Lawley Williams, Lorene Morgan, Opal Dawson, Blanche Young, Elaine West and Dean Ingle.
