Barbara Dillard Holladay – Obituary

Funeral service for Barbara Dillard Holladay, 85, of Danville, will be Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Phillip Dillard officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery (south of Danville). Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Holladay, who died Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born Feb. 27, 1932, in Georgia to Walter Lee Dillard Sr. and Mamie Lee Shaw Dillard. She was a home economics teacher for the North Pole High School in Alaska, prior to her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Dr. Walter Dillard Jr., William Dillard and Bruce Dillard and one sister, Constance Dillard Moore.

Survivors include her husband, Kyle Holladay; two sons, Richmond Dillard Holladay (Vicki), North Pole, Alaska, and Scott Alan Holladay (Brenda), Fairbanks, Alaska; two brothers, Byron Dillard (Laurie), Lynchburg, Virginia, and Dr. Phillip Dillard (Carolyn), Cedar Town, Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Francis Dillard and Laverne Dillard; and two grandchildren, Anita Morgan Holladay and Ian Raines Holladay.
