Barbara Ann Ritter Ingram, 80, of Rogersville, Alabama, passed from this life Thursday, June 26, 2025 peacefully at her home.

Barbara was born August 28, 1944 to the late L.H. “Chick” and Oreine Howard Ritter in Florence, Alabama, while her Father was serving in the United States Army in Europe, during World War II. Barbara was a 1962 graduate of Lexington High School. After high school, she attended Larimore Business School and began her career at Florence Times. She later took a position as a Federal Aid Coordinator at Top of Alabama Regional Council of Governments Main Office.

On December 14, 1973, at the Little Church of the West Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada, Barbara married the love of her life, Bobby. She and Bobby were happily married for over 51 years.

In 1976, Jason, the light of her life was born.

In the late 70’s, Barbara found her calling as a floral designer, and that evolved into a successful wedding business alongside her husband, and Barbara’s Wedding Shoppe was born. Barbara had a talent like no other as she designed unique floral arrangements, created the most beautiful table settings, and paid close attention to every little detail. She was the best of the best in the business, and was recognized numerous times over the years in Alabama Weddings magazine, as well as “Best Booth” at the Huntsville Wedding Show for several years in a row.

In 2011, she was blessed with two precious twin grandsons, Lake and Link, whom she adored.

She was the matriarch of the family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Barbara also loved big jewelry, studying home and garden magazines, perfectly painted fingernails, antiques, all sorts of glassware, Diet Coke, party planning, painting, and her special Shih Tzu, Sophie.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Ingram; son, Jason Elliott Ingram of Rogersville; grandchildren, Lake Vin Ingram and Link Elliott Ingram, both of Rogersville; Brother, Rickey Ritter (Pam) of Rogersville; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for Barbara will be held at a later date.
