Barbara Ann Joyner Bourne, age 73 of Fort Payne, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021. She was born July 13, 1948 in Foley, Alabama to the late Leroy and Maggie Lawrence Joyner. She was a member of Fort Payne Family Worship Center. Her favorite work was the Bourne Family Club – taking care of her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Dehart officiating. Burial will follow in the Jesus Christ New Covenant Cemetery in Sand Rock. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Billy Bourne; children, Thomas Brown and wife Tammy, Diane Selbe and husband Tim, Nickalus Bourne and wife Samantha, and Stella Bourne; brothers, Doug Joyner and Richard Joyner and wife Debbie; sister, Debbie Thrash and husband Ken; grandchildren, Thomas Brown II (Janie), Nichole Brown (Chris Nagle), Samantha Boyett (Cole), Jeremy Shankles, and Savannah Shankles; great-grandchildren, Kelson Brown, Samule Nagle, Elanor Boyett, Eila Boyett, Dawson Shankles, Ethen Nagle, and Bo Bourne; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Eddie, Chuck, and Randy Joyner.
