Barbara Ann Graves, 88 of Arab passed away Sunday February 22, 2026, at Marshall Medical Center North. She was born April 28, 1937, in Marshall County, the daughter of Robert Wheeler and Olene Herron Wheeler. She was a graduate of Arab High School and was married to Joseph Lyle Graves for 62 years at the time of his passing December 18, 2017. She retired after many years working in the cafeteria at Grassy School and was a long-time member of the Arab Church of Christ.
Survivors include her sons: Rickey (Nancy) Graves and Gary (Pat) Graves; granddaughter: Tonya (Kirk) Smith; great grandchildren: Mackenzie Smith and Mason Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Olene Wheeler; husband: Lyle Graves and brother: Arlon (Delean) Wheeler.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday February 25, 2026, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Brother Ken Tyler officiating. The burial will be in Brookwood Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers: Eric Graves, Kirk Smith, Mason Smith, Bruce Henry, Jimmy Tyler and Phil Miller; Honorary Pallbearer: Johnny Wheeler.
