Barbara Ann Coolahan, age 84, of Athens, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 11th, 2025, at the Limestone Health Facility. Born on January 29th, 1941, in Sunshine, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Walter Reed Howard and Lillian Burrell Howard.
Barbara was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her son, Patrick Coolahan, and daughter-in-law, Sherry, of Athens. She leaves behind two grandsons, Michael Coolahan of Huntsville, and Preston Coolahan of Athens, as well as a beloved great-granddaughter, Adalynn Coolahan.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Michael Coolahan.
A graveside service to honor Barbara’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at Parkview Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan.
