Barbara Ann Cofield Barker, 83, of Anniston, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Regional Medical Center. She was born November 24, 1942 to late Roy Ernest Cofield, Sr. and Dora Loveless Cofield. Barbara enjoyed researching genealogy for her family and others. She volunteered at her local library researching obituaries and posting information for families.
She is survived by her children Linda Thomas (Michael) and Danny King (Rita); grandchildren Heath Williams (Chelsea), Miranda Golden (Adam), Kyleigh Thomas, Mindy Godwin (Nathan), Danny Joe “DJ” King, Jr. (Samantha), Jacey Miller (Chris), Tori Yarborough (Mickey); and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Barker, son Brian King, and grandson Justin King.
At her request, no services are planned and she will be laid to rest at Glenwood Cemetery Columbarium.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
