Barbara A. Wagner, age 86 of Sherwood, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Elk River Health and Rehabilitation. A native of Franklin County, she was born on February 15, 1934 in Sherwood to the late Carl and Monnie (Haymaker) Payne. Before her retirement, she had been employed at the Hat Factory and Lanier. Barbara enjoyed keeping her home tidy and tending to her yard and flowers. She was a dedicated member of Sherwood Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Wagner; and siblings, June Payne, James Payne, and Mary Overman. She is survived by her loving daughter, Joy Wagner (Danny) Cunningham of Sherwood; grandchildren, Leigh Ann (Andrew) Cheung, and Wes Cunningham; great-grandchildren, Ellie Cheung, and Kellan Cheung; several nieces and nephews; and cousin, Maxine (Johnny) Payne of Winchester. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Mt. View Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Stevens officiating.
