HUNTSVILLE-Authorities from The Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville report that a 7-month old child died Wednesday, September 21 after being left in a parked vehicle in the parking lot of the Marshall Space Flight Center.
Redstone Arsenal officials said around 4:39 pm they were notified of a medical emergency at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center where fire and rescue personnel found the 7-month old child dead after being left in a parked vehicle during the work day.
Investigators early report indicate that the parent intended to drop the child off at the childcare center and instead went straight to work. Names are being withheld at this time out of respect for the family and pending any further next of kin notifications.
