Funeral services for Mrs. Axie Bailey Harris, age 92, are scheduled for 11 AM, Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Union Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Union Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Harris passed away on Friday in Scotts Hill. She was born January 20, 1930 in Reagan to the late John Robert and Annie Finley Bailey. She was retired from Decaturville Sportswear and enjoyed sewing, reading, and shopping. She was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. She loved all of her grandchildren dearly. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James Clinton Harris; five brothers, Floyd, Thomas, Fred, Donnie, and Dwight Bailey; one sister, Ruby Dyer; and one great-great grandchild. Survivors include her two sons, David Harris and Billy Harris; three daughters, Patsy White (Bill), Kathy Haywood, and Sandra Harris; two sisters, Lucile Hart and Lavern Goodrich; seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, 2 – 9 PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill and on Sunday, 9 – 11 AM at Union Hill Baptist Church.
